Alexej Jawlensky

Alexej von Jawlensky (1864-1941) was a Russian Expressionist painter. He was a key member of the New Munich Artists, active in Germany. He was a friend of Wassily Kandinsky. His works are widely collected by museums around the world. His work “Schokko” was sold for 18.43 million in 2008.
